2008...

Looking back at 2008 what a wonderful year it was! Most exciting for me, and pretty much the 1st thing to happen to me in 2008 was i became a mommy. Jamie is my world, i love her, everything about her, especially the times when it's just the two of us, the things no one else knows about or sees, but i will always have in my heart and memory. I became so fulfilled and blessed with her. Our new house which is wonderful, although there is still so much i want to do with it, i love it and it feels like home. New baby, new house, new car, new life! 2008 was a year of learning for me definitely, and a year of change, but wonderful change. My brother Tommy went to and returned safely from Afghanistan and got engaged to wonderful Miss Lauren! My sister Tammy got engaged and married! My other brother Jeremy is expecting his 4th child!!! Billy's sister Niki got married, his other two sisters Julie and Chrissy had babies and his brothers Danny and Jimmy are out of NE living exciting lives. My parents are wonderful and even better grandparents. It is so fun to watch them and see how much they love the kids. 2008 will be hard to top, but i know that 2009 will be just as exciting and a blessing. How can it not be with all the baby coming a wedding to look forward to! I can't wait to see what the future holds and i know who holds the future!

My daughter

that's so funny for me to write and say. My daughter. I love being her mommy, but when i say, my daughter it sounds so weird. It's like grown-ups have daughters. I'm not a grown up yet! Then i realize, yes i am, have been for a long time. Married over 5 years. Owned 2 houses and cars. Pay taxes, set my own schedule, work, take care of my husband...wow. I can't believe my daughter is almost 1 yr old. This time last year, i was pregnant, anticipating Jamie's arrival. I get choked up thinking about my life and how wonderful it is and even though i love seeing new things everyday, i already miss her being my baby. I just appreciate everything God has given me. He is wonderful to me. And now i am officially crying. happy tears.

Jamie is becoming very difficult these days to get dressed or change her diaper. She's a squirmy worm and it can be frustrating especially when she has a dirty diaper and is rolling all over the place. I hope she out grows this soon. Anyways, after her bath she will not sit still at all, so we let her play a bit in just her diaper. What's funny is, she doesn't like to crawl on the tile without pants because it's either too cold or too hard, so this video is of her on her hand and feet, butt in the air trying to get to me across the kitchen. We were pretty amused. please to enjoy... :-)

Happy Birthday!

Today is my daddy's 55th birthday. I love him, he really has been an awesome dad and when i think of the word dad i think of someone you go to with everything and someone who knows how to fix anything or say the right thing. My dad is totally that, he's awesome. Tomorrow is billy's 28th b-day! he is taking the day off work to relax and then we are going to see the new James Bond movie and out to a nice dinner, which we shouldn't be spending money doing, but hey, you only have a b-day once a year, what better time to celebrate right? Wednesday is amber's b-day and she's turning 21 according to max..which would have made her 11 when she had loden.. i knew she was a young mom, but didn't realize that young :-) Anyways, today we went over to mimi and papa's and hung out and it was fun, i love being around family!

good baking weather

it's chilly outside! i love this time of year, it's my favorite, probably because i love wearing comfy sweats and layering and the crisp air and the colors of nature. When jamie and me go get the mail, as one of our daily traditions, i wrap her in a fuzzy blanket and take her out and she squeals and her whole body tenses up and her smile is huge. This weather also is made for staying inside and baking..usually at night, which starts around 5:00 now! I have this recipe i want to make and i have all the ingredients, but i am waiting until i have a reason to make it. Probably will make it for thanksgiving! it looks soo yummy, devil's food cake with marshmallow fluff and more chocolate and peanuts...ahhh. i can't wait!

still figuring it out

this blog thing is tricky. i want to post picts a certain way, but am not sure how. so bear with me as i clumsily try. Here are a few more super cute ones of miss jamers. apparently this blog will be dedicated to mostly her, which is fine. But as a side note.. i am excited for the election tomorrow, mostly excited that it will be over. i am nervous for whoever wins and anxious to see everyones reaction to the victor. should be interesting...

Halloween

This year was Miss Jamie's first Halloween. She was a giraffe in honor of her once favorite toy Girrard. Her current favorite toy can be seen in the picture next to her, which is George her monkey. She kisses George all day long and giggles after each kiss, it's pretty cute. On halloween we went down to Billy's work and showed off her costume and visited daddy's new office. It was a nice time and everybody loved her outfit. That night we passed out candy then went to Mimi and Papa's house and hung out and then Jeremy and fam came over too. I really love unplanned hanging out like that, it is so much more relaxed and enjoyable. It was a good first halloween. Next year we'll probably take her out and that'll be even more fun to see her face light up with candy joy!

Just when i thought i was feeling better..

Yesterday i was NOT feeling well. I would be fine, but then i would start feeling queezy. So i took a bath and went to bed early thanks to my lovely husband for giving me a break! And today i wasn't feeling so good early on, so billy stayed home half day and i felt better. Luckily jamie took a long nap and i just vegged and watched a movie. And i really did feel good, so we went to the park and played and swang and walked and now we are home and jamie is supposed to be napping again, but i think i hear her coo-ing, that naughtiness! Well now i don't feel so great again.. I am not a person who gets sick very often, so when i do, i complain. Hopefully this sick feeling will go away permanently soon. And no..i am not pregnant. ;-)

Well I can't have Amber upstage me now can I?

Amber my sister-in-law started a blog and in an attempt to comment on one of her posts, i created my own account and blog. So here i go... I probably won't have alot of updates, but i'm sure i'll post random thoughts and pictures while miss jamie leigh is napping. I probably should use that time to get on my treadmill, but this is more appealing. Ok, maybe i'll split the time ;-) Starting off, Jamie has found how to bounce on her knees and it's pretty hilarious. I think she was moving to the beat of one of her toys and then heard me laugh and decided it was worth it and she kept it up. She bounced so hard she fell backwards which was soo funny, and then got right back up and started bouncing again. And with each bounce she moves about 2 inches forward, so she can scoot/bounce around the room and giggle all the way. Oh i love her and love being her momma.
